Dyer turns 7!

We finally found a drum teacher for Dyer so for his birthday we added to his drum set.  The first thing he did when he got up was to go and play on his drum set.

Dyer wanted a strawberry cake with strawberry frosting and strawberries on top.

Valerie also took Dyer to build a bear.  He got two Star Wars stuffed animals (Chewbacca and Kylo Ren).  I'm not sure why I don't have a picture.

Later that night we went roller skating and then out to eat at Taco Bell (Dyer's request)

Poor Valerie fell down and hurt her wrist.  About two weeks after she got home it was still hurting so she went in for an x-ray.  Sure enough she broke her wrist.

She took her shirt off by herself but she couldn't get her arms out.  It was almost like she was handcuffed behind her back.  She was not a happy camper!

After dinner we tried our hands at ghost crabbing.

Blair turns 9!

Since we were going to be really busy on the morning of Blair's birthday (swim and reptile show) Valerie took Blair birthday shopping a couple days early.  The only thing Blair said she wanted was a stuffed bunny so Valerie took her to build a bear to get a bunny.

Reptile show

To start the library summer program they had a reptile show.  Easton got picked to go up and help.

He got to hold a hissing cockroach!  Gross!

After the show the kids were able to go and touch the snake.

Easton says that he wants a pet snake.

Dyer wasn't able to come because he had swim lessons.  Valerie dropped us off and she took Dyer to his lesson.  To pass the time we went to the splash pad.

A trip wouldn't be complete if we didn't make a trip to the beach.  Luckily Valerie was also able to go with us to Big Kahunas as well.  We almost didn't get either of these things checked off our list as the weather was horrible most of the time Valerie was here.
