Here's the rest of our stay at the cabin:
Blakely earning extra cash by sitting in the creek
Even more by laying in the creek.
Dyer trying to get her to give up by squirting her with a squirt gun.
Now submerging herself.
Hot tub
I have a video of Blair laying down in the creek for 3 minutes. Unfortunately it is too long and too much memory to post on here. I didn't think that she would stay in there that long!
Puzzle
After the cabin we went to my mom's house in Idaho Falls.
Blair really wanted to get curtain bangs. My mom was more than willing to help out.
Grandma Gretch got the kids get out passes so we decided to take my mom with us on some adventures.
First stop was Yellowstone Safari park.
We saw a crazy house in the shape of a ship.
Next stop Bear World.
They had a dinosaur exhibit. Easton would have loved this as a kid!
We also went to an escape room. Grandpa Alan stayed behind to watch Eden. We did not escape! It was really hard!
We tried to go to the Chukars game. We had to pay because all the free passes are all on Sundays...Boo! The game got delayed but after 1 1/2 hours of waiting, we left.
Eden entertained us while we waited!
4th of July
East Idaho Aquarium
The kids had fun feeding the Iguanas!
I really wanted to see the sloth but it was too busy sleeping!
Nathan really wanted to go to the Snake River landing to watch the fireworks this year. We went really early to get front row seats! I was worried that it was going to be a really long day and even longer to get back to my mom's house but it actually worked out really nice!
The younger kids got wristbands to go on all the bouncy houses. That entertained them for a couple hours.
Hungry, hungry hippos!
KK got battle wounds!
This is where we camped out! Not worried at all!
We brought our huge canopy tent for shade and to hold our place. Eventually the wind picked up and it busted our tent legs and blew our tent away. Nathan and I were getting dinner for everyone so the older kids had to run it down. Luckily it was less than 2 hours before we had to put it down anyways. Nathan ended up throwing it away because the frame was so badly bent.
KK caught a grasshopper and adopted it as her "pet". That poor thing! I'm pretty sure it had brain damage by the time she finally let it go.
See how close we were!
KK did Hurricanes with Blakely
Girls night in while the boys were at boys camp.
Eden had some too but she wouldn't keep them on long enough for me to get a picture...
Grandma Fern's family reunion.
Emalyn
Eden back in swim lessons. I feel like these lessons were worse than the first time... I really had high hopes that she would at least improve a little bit. No such luck! I think she might have had a chance if she had the same instructor as before but we didn't luck out.

KK
Look how pained she is...
Nope, not today!
I guess her daughter (swim instructor) came home and was telling her mom (Eden's gymnastics teacher) and her younger sister (who also works at the gymnastics center with the mom and was KK's teacher at that time) all about a girl in her swim class named Eden. I'm not sure what stories the daughter was telling them about Eden but the mom told me that she told her older daughter, "I know Eden!" and then the younger daughter/sister chimed in and said, "I know Eden too!" (She's been Eden's gymnastics teacher before). All the while I'm thinking, "Great, Eden's getting a reputation!"
The swim instructor told them that she finally convinced Eden on the last day to go down the slide and on the second time she picked Eden up and dunked her under the water! I then told her gymnastics teacher, "I know! Eden was not happy about that!"
What I didn't tell Eden's gymnastics teacher is that before swim lessons started I tried convincing Eden that she needed to trust her instructor. That they've been doing swim lessons for a long time and that they wouldn't let anything bad happen to her. I then tried to convince her to put her mouth in the water and blow bubbles the first day. Each day I reminded her to trust her instructor and gave her another thing to work on (i.e. try to lay back and get your ponytail wet, see if you can float on your back for 3 seconds, etc.) Eden wouldn't even go close to the slide because she was afraid she would go under. It was a huge step for her to go down that slide. Her teacher promised to catch her. Eden didn't fully commit to sliding though. Instead she put her feet down and inched her way to the water (baby steps!) I was surprised but proud that she was finally doing something that scared her. I was definitely shocked when her teacher picked her up and dunked her. Honestly I'm still not completely sure what I think about her teacher doing that to her...I'm not mad. In fact I was really hoping it wouldn't faze Eden and that she would realize that she made it out alive and can go under water just fine. However, that wasn't the outcome. Eden was ticked off! I'm a little sad that Eden probably won't trust any swim instructor or me for that matter ever again! Hopefully she won't be traumatized by this experience her whole life! Maybe if we hold off on swim lessons for a while she will forget this ever happened (fingers crossed)!
