McCall June 2023

For Nathan's work each co-worker is supposed to cover at least 1 week every year up in McCall.  Nathan went back in April by himself for a week but he decided to take another week and bring us with him. It would have been better if Easton and Blair weren't taking summer classes (mainly Easton) because then we probably could have gotten out more and done more things.  The weather wasn't that great while we were there.  It rained about half the time so it made it difficult to do things outdoor.

Dyer set up his new hammock and relaxed for a while.

After Easton finally got done with his school work, in the late afternoon, I took the kids to Ponderosa State Park. The younger kids wanted to go to the beach and get in the water but almost as soon as we got down to the sandy area it started sprinkling.  About 30 minutes later it was pouring down rain.  That definitely put a damper on our plans.

Later that evening once Nathan got off work we took the kids to get ice cream at ice cream alley and walk around town.

We went back to Ponderosa State Park and attempted to do a short and easy hike but realized about 2 minutes in that it was a huge mistake.  With the sun setting and walking so close to a body of water, we were getting attacked by swarms of mosquitos.  It was a race back to the car!  We decided to take a scenic route in the car up to the lookout. McCall is really beautiful I just wish it would have been warmer.

We took the kids to the skating rink to drive bumper cars.

KK was in heaven!  She was so excited that she was tall enough to drive on her own!

Eden rode with me.
I let her control one side while I controlled the other.  It was interesting to say the least!

I think this was probably the highlight of our trip.  We might have to make it a tradition every time we go up there.

I took the 3 youngest with me one day to check out the candy store and bakery.  Afterwards they wanted to go to the park.

On our last day we took all the kids (minus Easton) to Brundage Mountain to ride the ski lift.  I'm not gonna lie.  It was a little scary riding the lift especially with two little ones!

We found snow!
