Easton and Blair playing at the FYS talent show. One of Blair's friends took a video of them for me.
Sister time!
Easton got his patriarchal blessing on July 2nd. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of him. Oops! Well, now that I think of it I probably didn't get a picture of him because he didn't have his suit and was wearing random clothes from a couple different people! He was a hot mess! Haha!
Easton went to FSY and got back Saturday afternoon. He woke up Sunday morning for church at 9am realizing he accidently left all his church clothes up in Boise. I'm not sure how that happened because the counselors are supposed to do a walk through before the kids are allowed to leave. Clearly his counselor didn't do a very great job! Of course Easton woke up late so we had about 25 minutes to figure out what in the world he was going to wear to church. Easton had some khaki pants that were wrinkly and almost too small for him, a white shirt that was slightly too big that he borrowed from Nathan, his own tie-I think, Nathan's 2nd pair of church shoes that were too big and made Easton look like he was wearing clown shoes, and at the last minute one of our neighbors heard about Easton's panic attack and brought over 2 old suits- Easton grabbed the suit jacket and ran out the door! It was quite the sight to see!
That same neighbor's son was going up to FSY two weeks later so Easton asked the son, his friend, if he could pick up his suit if he (Easton) was able to track it down. Easton called the week after his week but there were no sessions because of the 4th of July. The following week Easton called a bunch of different places and eventually figured out that the school's lost and found had it. He asked if his friend would mind getting it from the lost and found but eventually found out that his friend couldn't leave FSY and get it. However, his friend's counselor said that he would go and pick it up and give it to him before he left. Well as it turns out the counselor did in fact pick it up but forgot to give it to Easton's friend so Easton's friend came back home without it.
A couple days later Easton's friend contacted his counselor to see what we could do to get his suit back. This counselor said that the next time he is down in Twin Falls he'll bring it and drop it off. A couple weeks go by and still no sign of Easton's suit. I think after about 3 months we basically gave up thinking that we would ever see that suit again. Fast forward to sometime in November (4 months later) and Easton walks through the door after school with his suit in hand! Crazy!
We went up to Idaho Falls for the 4th of July and watched the firework show with Gpa and Gma Stockton.
Right before the show started (it was delayed because of wind) it started raining! Most of the girls jumped in Gpa and Gma car and watched the show from there.
Blair's friend down the street from us started a face painting business.

The day before the Art and Soul results, a lady called me up to see if we were going to be there. She didn't tell me what place Blair got but definitely hinted that she would probably be getting something. Of course I didn't tell Blair anything because I wanted it to be a surprise.
I was worried that would we get there late because Easton had his last speech to do right before. Luckily we got there with about 5 minutes to spare. It was so hot though!
Blair ended up getting 2nd place for the middle school division and got $150!!! I wonder what the difference in votes were between Blair and the 1st place winner. I knew anyone could vote but I didn't know how to go about doing it so Blair didn't get any votes from family or friends. I'm curious if she could have pulled off 1st place. Still amazing that she got 2nd place just from votes in the community!
At the end of July we went to Nathan's grandma's family reunion. We were assigned to wear white.
My sister, Jana, and her two boys came through on their way to my mom's house. I took them to see the Evil Knievel jump site and Shoshone Falls.
