Blakely's birthday party

Blakely really wanted a birthday party this year.  I thought she might want to have it at the gymnastic center or have an art party at one of the local art shops but she was very adamant that she wanted her party at the park.  It was kind of a last minute thing but it turned out well and I think everyone had a good time.

We had pizza, cupcakes, and ice cream sandwiches/popsicles.  She really wanted to get ice cream/popsicles from the ice cream truck but I told her the ice cream truck comes at random times so there was no guarantee it would show up during her party.  Luckily I was able to convince her that we could just buy ice cream sandwiches and popsicles from the store that an ice cream truck would sell.  Of course the ice cream truck did show up half way through her party!  Oops!

Blakely was also very adamant that she have a pinata at her party.  I should have guessed that she wanted one because I'm pretty sure that girl has had a pinata every year for her birthday!

In a way I'm glad that she was very vocal about what she wanted because I think in the past she has just assumed that we all knew what she wanted/expected for her birthday and then was somewhat disappointed when things didn't happen the way she imagined them in her head.  Luckily Blakely is fairly easy going and gets over things quickly!

Amelia and Avery-Blakely's best friends from school.
They were all in kindergarten together and now they are in the same class again this year!

Other friends from church came (Sterling, Alexis, Evelyn, and the Hansen girls-Ruby, Lena, and Liesl).  Also one of Blakely's friends from Florida just moved to Travis so we invited Nora to come.  It was good to catch up with their family.
