Blakely at 8 Months!

Yes, Blakely is 9 months now.  Now that things have slowed down a bit I can hopefully start catching up on the blog.  Things have been crazy busy around here with 4 birthdays, Father's day, everything related to end of the school year, Nathan's test, talk and lesson in church (yes these are very time consuming and stressful for me), etc.  phew!  Let's get started....

Blakely officially started crawling on Easton's birthday (May 30th)!  I guess that probably should have waited until her 9 month post but oh well!  She was getting around just fine rolling, scooting on her butt, pushing herself backwards and gradually moving forward a little bit, but on the 30th it just magically clicked.  She got up on her hands and knees and basically took off and hasn't looked back since.  She is a lot happier now that she is mobile.  She hates being left alone and will still cry if you leave the room but more times than not she will just follow you from room to room.

Not the best video....

4 days later:

Blakely finally cut her first two bottom teeth on the 30th as well!  Such a big day for her!

I find this strange but Blakely LOVES the vacuum!  Most babies are afraid of the vacuum (or at least my other three kids were).  My three oldest would cry and basically "run" away from the vacuum.  Not Blakely!  She will crawl after it and gets so excited when it is close enough for her to touch.  I have to make sure I know exactly where she is at all times because I worry that I will either trip/step on her or she will get her fingers caught under the vacuum.

Blakely LOVES food!  I swear this girl is never full.  She will eat and eat and eat all day if you let her.  That probably explains why she still pukes because she doesn't ever want to stop.  She will basically eat anything and everything (or at least try to).  This girl puts everything in her mouth.  It is amazing the things we constantly find in her mouth.  You think the room is clear of anything small and dangerous but within seconds she has something small and/or dangerous in her mouth.  Once I take something away she will find something else.  I'm starting to think she is magical or hides things in her diaper because no matter how well I scan a room and think it is good to go she finds something.  It's an amazing talent of hers.

Blakely's first time in the pool

The three oldest were swimming at Valerie's one afternoon and once Blakely woke up I decided to go up and hang out for a while.  Blakely and I were dipping our feet in but eventually Blakely's clothes came off and she was excited to be in the pool with the other kid.  She was a little mad when I finally pulled her out of the water.  She is definitely a water baby!

Blakely sporting her birthday suit!

Easton hamming it up!

Blair hamming it up as well.

Dyer wouldn't even get in the pool while I was there.

Blakely wanted back in that water so bad.

Splash pad and nap time

We met up with my friend, Ting and her kids, at the splash pad on base.   I should have taken more pictures of the kids but by the time I took Blakely over to the splash pad Blair and Dyer were playing on the play ground.
Hanging out in the shade.

Blakely loved the water!

Really Easton?!?  Well at least he had fun...

I left Blakely in the living room briefly one day and when I came back to check on her she was fast asleep.

She was in the middle of the room when I left her so she must have rolled over to her blanket, snuggled up to it, and fell asleep.

So sweet!

Easton's field trips and helping out in his classroom

I usually go into Easton's classroom every Wednesday to help out.  Thank goodness for Valerie otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to do it.  Blakely comes with me and all the kids adore her.  They have all been a part of her life since before she was born.  They all think of her as their little sister.  It is too cute!

Easton's first field trip was to the landfill.  It actually wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be.  After the landfill the kids went to a local park downtown and then made their own personal pizzas at pizza pucks.

Easton's second field trip was to the ballet "Mutiny".  I was worried what Easton would think but he really liked it.  It didn't hurt that the story was about pirates.

Baseball

Easton played T-ball again this year and ended up on the Pirates again.  He went back and forth whether or not he liked it.  He told me he wanted to play so I signed him up and then he told me he didn't want to play.  I think he just wanted to play a sport and because his best friend, Nicholas, was playing baseball he decided he wanted to too.  I don't think he realized he could have done something other than baseball.  During the season it seemed like it was torture for Easton to be there.  He even told me during one game, "this is a waste of my time!"  I was kind of glad that his coach constantly cancelled practice.  After his last game I asked if Easton had fun this year and he told me YES!  My reply was, "REALLY?!?"  He then said that he would like to play again next year!  I think next year I might give him a lot of different choices and see what he decides.

First game of the season!

He played first base a lot this year.

Do you notice his glove on his head?  He got bored very easily.

Blair being a stinker!

These moments didn't happen all that often.

I believe this was the moment he told me, "this is a waste of my time!"  He was sitting down and I told him to stand up and get ready.

Different faces of Easton.  He looks like an old man here!  Haha!

This is what I will remember of him playing baseball....Playing in the dirt/chalk.

Helping Grandpa mow and Chuck E Cheese

Blair helping Grandpa mow the lawn.  Easton helped too but I didn't get my camera out fast enough to get a picture of him.

Grandpa and Grandma took us to see Nut Job after Chuck E Cheese.  The kids enjoyed it.

Our trip home was a nightmare.  It took forever and we made way too many stops (to see cousins, to switch seats around, Easton throwing up, feeding Blakely, bathroom breaks, food, gas, etc.)  I'm not sure that I will be making a long trip by myself again for a really long time.

Dyer

Blakely's first time on a swing!  She LOVED it!

Blakely on the swing:

My mom started singing and dancing so I of course had to film her.  I guess it is a good thing that she can't view my blog right now....

Then she moved on to this...

Got to love my mom!

Next Miley Cyrus???  Let's hope not!

I had to document this haircut!  I told my mom right before she started how difficult Dyer is.  He never holds still and he just cries/screams and tries to run away from me.  It is usually a two person job.  Not this time!  He sat like a perfect little boy and hardly moved at all.  I swear he did that just to prove me wrong!

We even got some smiles out of him!  WHAT?!?
