Friendship Feast

Easton's class had a friendship feast on the last day before Thanksgiving break.  Every family was supposed to bring a food dish that had to do with their family's culture or one that is a family favorite.  I was having a hard time figuring something out because everything that came to mind was a dish that needed to be warm and I wasn't sure how I was going to transport that with the three youngest kids in tow.  I decided on caramels from Nathan's side of the family.

Easton's class put on a little production before the feast.  It was very cute.  His teacher made a video of each kid saying what they were thankful for.

Easton: "I'm thankful for my mom and family because I like to do things with them.  I'm thankful for silliness because I like to be silly!"  This makes me wonder if he is a class clown.  I'll have to ask his teacher about that!  I do know he likes to talk a lot.

Video:

Everyone in Easton's class got a letter from the alphabet to read telling about Thanksgiving.  Easton had the letter "X".

Easton also had another part he read, but I didn't know he was going to have two parts so I didn't record it.

It was a very cute production and all the kids did a great job.  I just love Easton's teacher.  She is absolutely amazing!

Blakely at 2 months

First off this little girl is growing like a weed!  It is just crazy to me how big she is getting already.  She hasn't had her 2 month appointment yet because they were so booked.  I called three weeks before she was 2 months and they scheduled her for Dec. 17th.  She will basically be 3 months by then.  I actually weighed and measured her today (almost 11 weeks or 2 1/2 months) and boy is she BIG!  Well, for my kids anyways!  I don't know how accurate my measurements are but she weighs 13 lbs and 25 1/2 inches.  Easton had a doctors appointment at 11 weeks and he was only 12 lbs and 23 3/4 inches.  I knew she was tall because she is already wearing 6 month pjs and mostly 3-6 month clothes.  I swear she basically skipped 0-3 month clothes.  All my other kids weren't even 25 inches until they were 4 months old.

 Blakely at 2 months!

Blakely at 2 1/2 months!

I figured I could sit her up and have her lean against the arm.

up close

Blakely's neck is getting stronger and stronger each day.  We walk Easton to school and I generally carry Blakely in the Moby.  She basically refuses to put her head in the pocket now because she wants to look out and see everything that is going on.  She is very curious about the world around her.

Blakely was sitting up so well leaning against the arm that I thought I would try it without any assistance and she did really well

I had to do an up close and far away picture as well.

Blakely still doesn't like being in the car for short trips.  Most of the time if the car is constantly moving she is fine but hates it when the car stops at stop lights or stop signs.  She did great on our long car trip to Oregon/Washington for Thanksgiving.  She only cried the last 10-15 minutes to my brother's house when we were driving through his town and when we stopped for gas.  It was about a 9 hour drive.

Blakely loves attention and more times than not she will give you a smile if you start talking to her.  She also loves to be held and actually prefers to be held.  She doesn't like to be left alone.

Blakely's sleeping a lot better at night now.  She's sleeping about 8 hours now!  The best is when she falls asleep around 10 and doesn't get up until around 6.  She did this the first time a couple nights ago and it was amazing!  It's definitely a lot better than 8-4 which is usually her normal time.

Blakely's still a big puker as you can tell from her above pictures!  She's pretty good at soaking her clothes.  It's not uncommon for her to wear more than one outfit a day.

I just had to take a picture of the rolls on her legs.  She actually has more rolls than this picture is showing but I still needed to document it.  She's definitely my little porker!

Blakely's Baby Blessing

Blakely got blessed on Nov. 17, 2013.  Nathan's grandparents, dad, and brother were all able to come.  Also, Roger (Valerie's husband) took time off work so he could be there for Blakely's special day.  Roger also came to the Primary program.  I only snapped a couple pictures of Blakely on her special day since we had family in town and I don't know how to be quick when I start a photo shoot.  I dressed Blakely up on another day and took more pictures of her in her blessing outfit.

This was taken on my phone that is why the quality isn't very good.  I just love Blakely's sweet smile though so I had to include it.

She sure loves her tongue.

Another smile

Dad and Blakely.
I wish I would have gotten a picture of Nathan, Blakely, and I.  Also, a picture of the whole family together.

Grandma Stockton, Blakely, Nathan, and Grandpa Stockton.
I wish I would have gotten a picture with Layne (Nathan's Dad) and Andy but they didn't come back to the house after church.

 Two weeks later:

I just love sleeping babies.

2nd Football Game

Easton really wasn't into this game like he was the first one.  It was kind of sad since Grandpa Dyer was there to watch him.  I think Easton enjoys playing offense a lot more than defense (I noticed this when he was playing soccer).  He started out the game playing defense and he didn't have much motivation to play.  He finally got into the game a little more once he switched to offense.

Let's go Seahawks!

Too much momentum.

Performing for the camera.  Silly girl!

Primary Program

Easton and Blair were practicing some of their songs for the Primary program...

I love moments like this!

Here they are all dressed up and ready for the program...
Here are their parts:

Easton: I will prepare to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

Blair: I know my Heavenly Father knows me and loves me.

Dyer wanted in on the action but as soon as I turned on the camera he really didn't want to say anything.  Goofball!

Easton did a great job on his part and singing.  He basically read his part when he got up there because there was a cheat sheet.  I was a little annoyed because he knew his part but oh well.  He sings really loud so it is easy to pick him out from everyone else.  Easton and the girl next to him (Paisley) were quite the pair.  A lot of people watched them most of the time because the two of them were very entertaining.  I wish I could have recorded them because it was very cute and funny!

Blair actually got up there and did her part!  I really wasn't sure what to expect.  I figured she would walk up to the microphone and be too shy to say her part and someone else would have to do it for her.  Even though she had her part memorized she still got help from someone in the Primary presidency.  She was probably really nervous and needed the prompt.  I'm just proud that she got up there and did it!  Blair sang every once in a while.  It usually wasn't until Nathan got her attention and encouraged her to sing that she actually sang.  Blair's just a busy bee and can't keep still.  She was probably driving her teacher crazy!  She was moving all over the place.  On the pew, on the floor, on her teacher's lap.  She was probably on her teacher's lap most of the time and even then she couldn't hold still.  She was moving herself every few seconds on her teacher's lap while hugging her teacher and playing with her teacher's hair and cheeks.  I think her teacher was probably relieved when Blair had to use the restroom halfway through the program.

Easton's First Football Game!

Easton started football about four weeks ago.  He is the only 6 year old on his team.  There are about three 7 year olds and the rest are 5.  Easton seems to fit in just right (height wise) with many of the 5 year olds.  Easton did really well in his first game!

Start of the game.

I like how excited he gets!  Of course he has to play in the dirt/mud!
