San Francisco Zoo

We took the whole family down to the San Francisco Zoo.  The weather was sunny and perfect and the kids were pretty well behaved.  Which definitely makes it a great day!

Dyer getting excited about the zebras!

Video of Dyer:

Our first stop was to watch the bears get fed.  We had to wait awhile but we got front row seats and it was definitely neat to watch.

This just shows how close we were.

Pantene Beautiful Lengths

I finally decided to chop my hair off and donate it!  Nathan's Aunt suggested about a year ago that I should donate my hair to Pantene instead of Locks of Love.  Apparently Locks of Love charges cancer patients for their wigs (based on their income) but Pantene gives them for free!  That definitely sounded better to me.  I still need to get a package to send the hair in but it should be in the mail later this week!

Here's the before pics:

Sorry it's a little blurry is wasn't until we were taking the after shots that we realized there was finger prints all over the front of the lens.

 And the After pics:
I cut off about 15".

I like my haircut but I think I might try styling the front (bang) area a little differently.  I forgot to take a  picture of the back...sorry mom!

This little dude thinks I look like his Auntie and has been calling me Auntie all night long!

Family Plane Ride

We were supposed to make a trip to Idaho for Nathan's cousin's missionary farewell, but the weather was not very good so we decided to not make the trip.  It was probably a good thing since we later heard of a father, son, and a friend that got killed in a plane crash the same day we were planning on traveling and they were basically flying the same route we were going to take.

A week later we decided to try a small family trip.  The weather was foggy on and off again.  We took off with not much fog but within a few minutes the fog was getting thicker so we turned around and landed.  It was probably a good thing since none of the kids were having much fun.  It takes quite a while to drive to the airport and then even longer to get the airplane all checked out and ready to go.  On the up side we were all able to fit into the airplane (Dyer's carseat included) which we weren't sure if it was going to work or not.

Kids!  Dyer just woke up so he wasn't sure what to think of everything.

Dyer definitely didn't like the earplugs.

Nathan right before take off!

Christmas

Nathan had to work nights the week of Christmas so it was just the kids and I celebrating Christmas Eve together.

The kids all ready to open their pjs.

Modeling their new pjs.

Goofy picture.  Of course Dyer actually decides to smile in this one!  Silly boy!

Nathan got home around 7 am.  We got the kids up and opened presents right away so that Nathan could go to bed.

Sorry it's really dark but it's kind of fun to hear the kids' reaction.

Video of the kids on the trampoline:
Thanks Valerie!  The kids love it, especially Blair!

Video of Dyer:
My Grandma sent all of us gifts as well.  Dyer got some candy and a stuffed Christmas tree!  Thanks Grandma!

Video of Blair:
Blair got a coloring book, candy/treats, money.  Easton basically got the same thing as Blair.

Easton with his new Leapster game.

Dyer opening Gma's gift!

He LOVES this train!  Thanks Gma!

Video of Blair:
I love how Blair says "Wow" for everything even though she's not sure what it is.  What she does know is if it has a princess on it, it has to be cool!

Blair's gift from Gma!

Dyer playing with his train set.

Video of Dyer:
Love Dyer's big grin!

Video of Easton:
Seriously this was basically Easton's reaction to everything he opened!  Classic!  It was definitely a fun year watching Easton open his gifts!  I sure love this kid!

Easton playing with his new imaginex space thing from Valerie.

Video of Blair:
I love how she has to pose with her gift every time she opens it!  Such a funny girl!

Blair got a Rapunzel magnetic doll to dress up from Valerie.

Dyer got a dog book from Valerie.

Grandpa Layne spoiled us with tons of gift cards.  The kids basically had a second Christmas when they spent their cards at Toys R Us.  Easton got an imaginex dinosaur and another Leapster game.  Blair got some more princesses for her castle and a shopping cart.  And Dyer got a ride on tractor.

Grandma and Grandpa Whiting got us movie tickets and money!

There was definitely a theme going on this year.  Easton got lots of Power Ranger things, Blair got lots of Princess things, and Dyer got train things!  The kids had a great day and definitely got spoiled by all their grandparents!  Thanks everyone!

Kindergarten Christmas Songs

All the Kindergarten classes put on a little Christmas Concert.  They were so cute, especially my little guy!  I love how Easton loves to sing!  It makes me happy!

Before the Concert.
We were sitting really far back.  I had to zoom in so the picture is on the blurry side.  The videos are really shaky because I had to hold the camera above my head in order to see Easton above everyone's head.  It didn't help that he was on the bottom row.

There should have been videos of Easton singing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and We Wish You a Merry Christmas but they were too long!  Such a bummer because they were really cute!

Video of Easton saying the Gingerbread man:

Easton less blurry.

After the concert I went to the front to snap a quick picture.  Such a cute little dude!

I asked him to put his fingers down (away from his face) and this is what he did.  I love the pose!

Easton's #1 fans!

I was waiting to post this (and two other posts) for a few weeks now so I could put videos on but I still don't know how to make the memory smaller to download, so it is what it is.  I just need to post these and move on.  I guess if you want to see the videos you will just have to make a trip here to see them!  I posted two other posts as well : )

Candy Cane Lane and Lolly Pop Lane

We took Gramma Kennedy and the kids back to Candy Cane and Lolly Pop Lane again this year.  It seems like less and less people are decorating every year.  It's not too surprising since someone tried stealing decorations last year.  We still had a good time though and ran into some friends.

The whole crew minus me who was taking the picture.

Happy little guy!

One of the many houses we saw all decked out!

I had a video of Easton singing and a video of Dyer all excited about the lights "WOW!" but again the videos are too large to download.  I guess it's alright since the videos are a little too dark to see much anyways!
