JCPenney Pics and Blakely at 10 months!

The kids got their annual pictures done at JCPenney.

Easton (7) Dyer (3) Blakely (almost 10 months) Blair (5)

I didn't get around to taking Blakely's 10 month pictures so these will just have to do.  She had her doctor's appointment a couple days after she turned 10 months.  It was supposed to be her 9 month appointment.  Everyone that came to see her commented on how big she was for a 10 month old.  She was 29 in and almost 21 lbs.  She's in the 80-90th percentile.

Blakely is getting really fast at crawling.  I have to be careful when the kids are going outside or up the stairs because often times they forget to close the door and gate.  Sure enough Blakely bolts as soon as she sees an opportunity.

She has started to cruise but doesn't seem to have much interest in walking.  I think she is going to be stubborn like Blair.

Blakely eats basically anything and everything we give her.  I think the only thing she doesn't seem to care much for is french toast.

Blakely is a very good and happy baby!

The gymnastic center had a fundraising event to earn money for some new equipment.  The girls were supposed to show parents what they have been learning.  Nathan, Grandma Gretch, and Aunt Kaity came to watch Blair.  I was a little disappointed because it really wasn't all that organized and I didn't really feel like Blair was able to show all the new things she has been learning.  It probably didn't help that her coach wasn't there and I'm sure the other coaches weren't sure what she knew/didn't know.

Blair seemed really nervous but I think she had fun.  She ended up winning one of the raffles (for free frozen yogurt) so she was pretty stoked about that.

The dance was a disaster.  I'm not sure whose idea it was to learn a dance two days before the event.  It was still cute/funny to watch.

Easton gymnastics

The boys wanted to try gymnastics after swim lessons were over.  I thought it would be perfect because they were supposed to have a beginner boys class (Easton) and bouncing bears (Dyer) on Tuesday (one of the days Blair goes) that would start halfway through Blair's class.  Unfortunately, the cancelled Easton's class so I opted to have the boys go on Monday instead at the same time.  Well, when we showed up the first day Dyer was the only kid in his class so they cancelled his class.  Luckily I was able to get him into a class around the same time as Blair's class.  We were going to the gym 3 times a week.

I think Easton liked gymnastics but I'm not sure that he will do it again.  There was only one other boy in his class and about half the time the boy wasn't there.  Easton is very social and I don't think he liked being by himself.

New Park and Children's Wonderland

A new park opened up near us so we had to go and check it out.

Blair wanted to push Blakely and of course Blakely didn't want any of that!

Children's Wonderland

Of course we had to get the usual picture of someone in the gator's mouth.

Dyer opted for the tail.

This is probably the kids' favorite spot.

The experiment really didn't work all that well.

This little girl started following us around.  In the beginning her mom was with her, but after about 5 minutes her mom just left.  It wasn't until about 45 minutes later that we ran past her mom who was outside the gate in her car.  Who does that?
