Blair turns 7!

Blair got to celebrate her birthday a day early because her terrible parents left early the morning of her actual birthday to go to New York.  Yes, I still feel horrible about it.  Especially since her birthday wasn't very exciting since some crazy things happened where Dyer and Blakely ended up in the ER.  Nathan and I almost turned around and came home but we were told we would be in trouble if we did since Dyer and Blakely were going to be fine.  Thank goodness!

Dyer Indoor Soccer

Dyer definitely came a long way from outdoor soccer.  Thank goodness for that!  Dyer was actually getting in on the action, dribbling the ball, and he ended up scoring a goal in his last game!

Dyer's number one fan!

This is basically the same set up that happened when Dyer got his actual GOAL!  He dribbled down to the corner but then dribbled from the corner to the goal and SCORED!  It was awesome!  Of course he had to do it the one day my camera was dead and at home charging...

Dyer starting to get more aggressive and even trying out some moves...

All the kids finally got their "most Christ like" aka "player of the game" bands.

Blair Indoor Soccer

I didn't realize that the teams would be co-ed when we signed the kids up.  I was a little nervous how Blair would take it since the last time she was on a co-ed team she preferred to sit on the bench.  I'm not sure what I was so worried about because Blair was probably one of the most aggressive players out there!  It was so much fun watching her get in there and finally score some goals!

Blair's 1st GOAL!!!

Blair's 2nd GOAL!  Unfortunately, I didn't get the camera turned on fast enough....

Blair being aggressive.

Hard work pays off...

3rd Goal!!!

4th Goal!!!

5th Goal!!!! Blair got a hat trick this game!

Easton Indoor Soccer

The kids decided to try indoor soccer at a local church.  They have prayer and devotionals after every practice.  I was a little concerned at first since it wasn't our church (obviously) but it ended up being a good experience for the kids.
They announce every team before each game.  The kids love the blow up tunnel.

Not sure about the dance?!? moves but he ended up with a nice save.

Easton ended up scoring a goal this year but of course it had to be the one game Nathan and I were out of town.

Easton also got nominated by his coach for the "Most Christ Like Award" He didn't end up getting the league award but his coach had some really nice things to say about Easton.

"One player stands above the rest, Easton Kelsey.  He naturally engages adults and kids alike.  Easton encourages, cheers, and supports both friend and foe without prompting, reminder, or hesitation.  I have been impressed on multiple occasions as Easton stops in the middle of play to assist another injured or fallen player, and then waits before continuing play in order to make sure that he/she is ready and able to proceed.  When it is time to slow down and honor God in prayer and devotion, Easton is a ready and enthusiastic volunteer.  His sweet, sincere prayers are evidence of the inner workings of his heart.  On top of all of this, he is humble and quiet in spirit.  It is my privilege to have this young man call me coach."
